Chef Avo (aka: Amanda) grew to love cooking and applied for college and was accepted to the Culinary Institute of America. Her goals also include owning own a food truck. Hosts create listings of food experiences they offer, and foodies can choose their host based on what cuisine they’re interested in! Hosts may offer a dine-in experience or take-out options.

GFOOD connects passionate home cooks with guests who are looking for unique dining experiences. As a host on GFOOD, you can set up your profile, showcase your culinary creations, and earn money by hosting cuisines for guests.

To book a cuisine follow the next steps:
  • When you launch the app you will see a list of ‘experiences’ near your location. If you’d like to narrow your search, click on the green circle in the upper right-hand corner. Here you can sort by cuisine, location, popularity, or rating.
  • Once you find the listing you want to book, you can click ‘Book Now’. Here you will enter the number of guests, the date, time, and the dish you are requesting.
  • If you receive this message, “No Cuisine Available”, please try your request again.

To get started, launch the GFOOD app and create a host profile. Once your menu listings are published, guests can book and pay for cuisines right in the GFOOD app. As a host, you will receive payment after the cuisine is complete. GFOOD will provide customer support throughout the process to ensure a smooth experience for both Foodie and host!

To get started, download the GFood app and create a host profile. You will then create a listing of what food you are offering. A passion for cooking is our first requirement! We then require all GFood hosts to simply obtain an ANAB-Accredited, Texas DSHS-Approved food safety and hygiene certificate within 60 days of becoming a host. You can obtain your certificate at:

Since we are new and growing, we are currently waiving all fees associated with using the GFood app for new hosts.

Foodies pre-pay for their bookings through the GFood app. Once the meal has been completed, hosts are paid via direct deposit to their chosen account. Since we are new and growing, we are currently waiving all fees associated with using the GFood app.

Currently, we are operating only in the state of Texas. We plan to expand to other states in the near future.

To become a GFOOD Host you must be a passionate home cook with a desire to share your culinary skills with others. You must be located in a city where GFOOD operates (for instance, we’re currently operating in San Antonio and Austin). You will also need to meet our requirements for food safety and hygiene.

The amount you can earn as a GFOOD Host depends on a variety of factors, including the number of cuisines you Host, your menu prices, and the number of guests you attract. We encourage Hosts to set competitive prices and offer unique dining experiences to attract more guests and earn more money.

At GFOOD we respect the time our Hosts put into creating their cuisines. Therefore, we will always honor their time by compensating them for the time spent creating your cuisine, unless you cancel prior to the cancellation deadline.
  • If you need to cancel or change your request, please do so 24 hours prior to your scheduled booking date/time.
  • If you book your request within the 24-cancellation window, you may cancel without fee, if done so within 10 minutes of booking your request.
  • If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late for your booking, you must contact the Host to inform them of your delay.
  • User is late for more than 30 minutes (after ETA, which you’ve accepted while made request.
  • Mention that if you are late, you can notify driver that you are late via call or sms.

Food safety and hygiene are top priorities for GFOOD! We require all Hosts to follow local regulations and guidelines for food safety and hygiene. We provide our Hosts with resources and guidance to ensure their cuisines are prepared and served safely. We also collect feedback from guests to ensure that Hosts are meeting our standards.

You will earn 100% of your bookings, as we are waiving all fees at this time. You will also set your own pricing and schedule. We encourage hosts to set competitive prices and offer unique dining experiences to attract more guests and earn more money. So, the more bookings you have, the more you will earn! We will assist you along the way and provide tips on how to create a foodie fan base and be successful!

We are a marketplace app, where individuals can buy and sell food without the need for a permit/license. GFood handles this part for you!
